Some things about your metabolism you didn't know!

Do slower metabolisms lead to obesity? The common misconception is that individuals with a slow metabolism have a much more difficult time losing weight, hence the reason they are overweight. But what we need to realize is that our weight is a reflection of our workouts, diet and lifestyle.

So, this ultimately requires us to change our thinking from "it's not me, it's my metabolism" to "it's not my metabolism, it's me". This can be a very difficult thing to do, but once you come to this realization, you can then begin to make the necessary changes in your diet, workouts, and lifestyle that will allow you to begin seeing positive fat loss results.

Jan - March 2010 Weight Loss Challenge: Top 50 results

Below are the placings of the best 50 competitors of the last 10-week weight-loss challenge which was held between January and March 2010.

These are all fantastic results, and everyone who completed the challenge can be proud of his/her achievements. So well done to everyone!


I'm happy to announce Ian Scicluna as the winner of the January 2010 edition of the Weight-Loss Challenge. Ian is the proud winner of a holiday for 2 to Cyprus, inclusive of flights and accommodation! Ian actually joined the challenge a week late, so he achieved his outstanding results in just over 9 weeks! Great achievement, Ian. 
Ian commented: I'm really amazed how my body changed shape in these two months, from my legs right up to my face.  Losing this amount of weight has helped me feel a lot more confident and also made me look at life in a more positive way. People around me have definitely noticed my transformation. A big thank you, Richard! Your programme has really changed my life.





2nd place goes to Joe Galea, who underwent a drastic lifestyle change during this challenge, yielding a  smacking 25.6kg weight loss. Well done, Joe
